Kudos to cousin Phyllis Meyers for passing along photos I’d never seen before. Here is a photo of Bassa Meyerowitz, second wife of Kofa Yusa Abromowitz, married in 1886. She was born 1847 in Sakot, Lithuania, and died July 20, 1929 in Toms River, NJ. I was told that she is responsible for marrying many of her Meyerowitz nieces and nephews to Abromowitz stepchildren. Her daughter Bessie married Isidore Meyers, and they are the grandparents of Phyllis. We are not sure of the date of this photo, but it may be in the 1920s in Toms River.
